We made it through the hurricane just fine. We lost power for about 40 minutes. BUT, the computers have been acting crazy ever since. They're all plugged into good surge protectors and most were off before the power went out, so DH doesn't think that's it. In the meantime, my laptop is down so no pics as I can't figure out how to upload them from my desktop downstairs. I feel cutoff from the world. My laptop is up most of the time so I can just pop in and surf the net or read blogs.
Nothing exciting going on here and not much of anything else either. I started back at the Y last week and have been so tired and sore that I come home and crash. I took a nap Friday and when I work up I couldn't move. Spent most of yesterday stretched out, trying not to even breathe I hurt so bad!
Washing of fleece and knitting continues. The veggies have just about stopped producing. The string beans only yielded enough for about a meal and the peppers didn't do much better. To put up anything I'm going to have to hit the famer's markets. The only way to get enough here at home will be to use the yard and I don't think that's going to be an option unless the county does something about the deer population. Hoop house are against the covenant.
That's it from this end.

Melodye, don't be discouraged! Nothing wrong with stocking up at the Farmers Market..the point is to stock up...you'll be helping yourself (and the Farmers) in the long run. When it's time to prepare a meal, you won't worry that you don't have one. :o)
My green beans and peppers were a bust this year too, but goodness me, we were overwhelmed by cukes and pumpkins!
I would feel just like you were my laptop disabled. I use my iPhone throughout the day, but it's no substitute. I pop in and out of my laptop all day long. I'm so sorry - hope you get your computer feels better soon!
