Several weeks ago Spinster Beth nominated me for this award. Thanks so much, Beth, I really appreciate it. I couldn't believe how long it took me to come up with seven things about myself. To accept the award, I need to:
1. Thank and holla-back to the person who awarded me, Beth:
2. Share 7 things about myself;
3. Nominate up to 15 blogs that I admire;
4. Notify the nominee(s) of the award!

I am the oldest of 6 six children. I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Not one of them knits, crochets or sews!
2.
I am a U.S. Army veteran
3.
I hate watching anyone brush or floss their
teeth, even on TV. I hate having anyone
watch me do either.
4.
I loathe cooked carrots, but, I love raw
ones. However, I am adult enough to eat
them when served them in public.
5. I graduated from the oldest all-girls public
high school. Western High School
(Baltimore City) was founded in 1844 and is still an all-girls high school. Western has had several famous graduates; I
am not one of them.
6.
I hate to cook! On our first date DH asked me
what I like to eat. My answer anything I
don’t have to cook. He said seriously
what do you make best, I said reservations.
We dated for months before he knew I could cook. I’ve been told I’m a good cook; maybe, but it’s
not my activity of choice!
7.
I am a history buff. I participated in a local Buffalo Soldier
unit for several years and had quite a collection of memorabilia. I’ve been known read extensively on a subject
that interests me. I often think about
writing a fictionalized account of a little known female soldier.
Here are some blogs I follow: Deb, Sharon, Beverly, Two Cables, Miss Ginny, and Faye.

Congrats on your well deserved honor! Cooked carrots, huh? For me it is apple butter...ewww...I can barely even type the nasty words.
Congratulations on the Award. At least I am not alone, in that I hate to cook, but a good cook when I do...lol
Congratulations on your award.I'm a veteran too.
I loved that - so interesting. Buffalo soldier, eh. I hear Bob Marley :) We're so different, apart from color. I grew up on an organic farm and so cooking is in my marrow. In fact, there were carrots in our dinner tonight. I'm married to the Vet in this household!
