I finished Lu minutes before I wore it. I'm so glad I pressed on to finish it because I received so many compliments. I wore it to Stitches East, so it was doubly nice receiving compliments from people who knew what they were talking about. I told everyone who asked where to get the pattern from. so hopefully they've made a few sales. I didn't have time to get a shawl pin so I used a stick pin I made a while ago. I wore it to work yesterday and used a a piece from a hair clip I had. I actually think I like that better. Some statistics:
Yarn: Lion Brand Jiffy from JoAnn's
Color: El Paso
Yardage: 2 skeins and a piece of another one maybe 250 yards. After not thinking I had enough of the original yarn, I probably would have as I had to go up two needle sizes.
Cost: $1.99 a skein
Does it look like the picture: Yes.
Will I make it again: Most definitely. I bought yarn at Stitches to use. I'd like to make it a third time in a more expensive yarn, maybe a silk blend. I'm thinking I may make a couple for gifts for Christmas. We'll see, I only have two hands (or so I keep telling myself).
It's any easy pattern and a relatively quick knit. It's not one to take to Knit night or any place where you socialize, it takes some concentration. Or at least I did.
Up next, Christmas gifts for my mother and sisters.

You are rocking Lu!.. it's beautiful and sounds like it's quick and easy. The best part is that it cost so little to make. I am still not ready to make christmas gifts. Maybe next year.
Your top is cute. Thanks for your comment and visiting my blog.
That is cute! And doesn't take a whole of yarn, either.
Lu looks great and I am a fan of varigated yarn... great colorway.
Wow Mel, it's beautiful. I may consider this one myself.
Hey M! That looks absolutely fabulous on you! I have to make another one for a friend and just got the yarn the other day. Thanks for letting me know that you got it made and posted.
You go, Girl!
