It's My Birthday!!!

Yep, I was born on the 10th anniversary of D-Day.  I love it when there are major anniversaries of that day.  It's like the world is putting on a celebration for me! I've been celebrating since Saturday and may well celebrate the rest of the week.

Saturday I had several friends over to knit.  The eariliest arrived a little after 1 and the last left a little after10.  My sibs thinks I'm crazy and can't image sitting around knitting and spinning all day.  If only they knew!  We solved all the world's problems and had loads of fun doing it.  For once I listened to Harold and bought a lot of the food.  No cooking marathon or the exhaustion that goes with it.

Yesterday the same sibs got together for crabs and conversation.  We had a great time.  We enjoy being together as do the in-laws (and outlaws!).

Tonight Harold took me out to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. We had a really nice waitress.  She  relocated here from Chicago to pursue a singing career.  Apparently Baltimore is a hot spot for young talent.  Who knew?

I wore my Doris Chan Skirt for the first time.  I just wore a nylon slip under it so it was a little warm.  I enjoyed wearing and can't wait for another chance to wear it.  I'd like to wear it to church, but I don't know if it's appropriate or not. Or if I'm too old (no giggling Miss Ginny!)  I need to make a batiste slip, I think it will be cooler.  Excuse the face, it's hard taking mirror shots.

TTYL,

Melodye

No giggling! Heck, I laughed out loud before I realized what I was reading :o) The skirt is beautiful and you can wear it to Church as long as we can't see panty outlines or bulges :o). You be the judge of how you feel about it and take it from there. Remember God knows what he put under that skirt, nobody else needs to know. Unless you want them too. :o) Happy Belated Birthday and many more until your tired of counting :o)

You look fabulous. I still think you're lying about your age! Love the pearls! As for ways to celebrate a birthday, I'd do just what you did, except I've given up birthdays :)
