Voting and Pics of Vogue Circle Jacket

It took us 2 hours and a bit here in MD to vote. DDs 3 and 4 were already in line or gone by the time Harold and I arrived. I enjoy going to our polling place. Americans of every stripe, age and physical condition all participating. One of our poll workers was tatooed, braided and wearing a name tag that read “Ant”. It’s good to be American!

Here are some pics of me wearing the circle jacket.  One of my favorite bloggers Samurai Knitter often takes magazines to task for styling their photos to mask the way garments fit real bodies.  Such is the case with this jacket.  It is huge.  It is blocked to size and I checked my gauge several times while crocheting it.  I made the smallest size and I'm swimming in it.  I'm 5'10 and wear a size 12 for a point of reference.  Look how far the collar is overlapped in the second pic.

I'm still kind of "meh" about it, but I'll wear it at least a couple of times.  I'll have to buy a new belt as I'm squeezed into this one.

Wow! It's lovely!
(PS everything I make turns out huge, no matter how often I check gauge!)

I love big comfy sweaters but I agree that there is a disconnect between the way patterns are photographed and how they end up looking on a body that doesn't have the luxury of having a stylist pinning it on to fit. I hope you can get it to work for you because it really is a show stopper.

I love the sweater. I like layers and this definitely allows for that.

Very nice jacket. A good thing with circle jackets is they accommodate a wide range of sizes.
