I was robbed.

Ok,not really, I gave them my money. Star.bucks. Yesterday. Everybody always talks about the coffee and lattes and whatever else they sell. And how good everything tastes. I had to wait for DH, it was cold, wet and my feet hurt. I was in front of Star*bucks. I thought ok, now I'll see what the fuss is all about. People are crazy. I ordered a tall, fat-free, vanilla latte, extra hot. $3.41. I was over charged by about $2.41. I'm still trying to figure out what the fuss is about. The only good thing I can say is that it was hot. DH asked if I watched the barista make it. I said no, was it supposed to make it taste better. People, people, people, it's coffee. Save your money. Or better yet send it to me. I'l buy yarn, fabric, sewing machines, but no more Star*bucks.

I agree. ;-) Their drip coffee is overburnt, and they have no idea how to make a decent latte or cappucino

Oh Melodye, I'm sorry you had a bad experience for your first visit to Starbucks. I agree though, some of the Starbucks do burn their coffee a bit. Give it another try though.

I'm a Starbucks fan, but the key is to watch them make it. I have several conditions when making my frappucino or green tea. If I didn't the frappucino would be watery and the green tea would taste like water.

I've gotta join the don't like Starbucks people. And I admit that I do spend too much money on fancy coffees... but not there. I just don't like their taste.
Of course the fact that there's a delicious coffee and latte place like Greenberry's literally 30 feet from work doesn't help S's cause any. (If I could open my office windows I could rig up a pulley and clothesline system to their drive thru window. It would be so cool!)

I couldn't agree more! Give me a good basic Dunkin Donuts coffee any day. Starbucks is so over-rated in my opinion.
