Three years ago today, I received my new kidney.  While I have many family members, for various reasons they were not a match, so my new kidney came from a cadaver.  I never met him.  Nor have I ever been able to thank his family to tell them what their generous gift means to me.  I avoided dialysis and lead a normal life with no restrictions.  Their gift meant a new life, not only for me but for countless others.  If you're an organ donor, I thank you on behalf of individuals you will never know.  If you're not, please consider it.  If you know a living donor, give them a hug!!!

I just committed to making an anatomical gift... I signed the back of my DL.
