I've been

cleaning my room so long, I've reached the point that I'm ready to just throw everything that's left in the trash can! It seems as if I've been cleaning forever and the stuff just won't go away.

I've identified seven (yes seven) machines to be donated. The only problem is that they have to be in working order before they can be donated. I bought them to learn to fix machines with the idea of donating them but I didn't realize I'd accumulated so many. The unfortunate thing is that I'm keeping almost as many. The Bernina 930; the Babylock; the Featherweight; the Singer 301; the serger; the embellisher; and the Pfaff 130.

I use the 930 for most of my garment sewing, the Featherweight for piecing quilts, I carry the 301 to sewing workshops, I embroider with the Babylock, use the serger for finishing seams, the embellisher to embellish and I just like the 130.

We're cleaning out the last storage locker and realized that what we thought was a desk is (you guessed it) another machine! That belonged to Harold's aunt.

As I was just sitting here I just realized there were 14 machines in that room! No wonder I couldn't move. The only saving grace is that with the exception of the Bernina, Babylock and embellisher they were all less than $30. I bought them over a period of years which is why I didn't realize I had so many. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

And my kids thought the crystal I collect is a sickness. They'd be ready to commit me if they knew. It's good thing they don't read my blog!!

TTYL,

Melodye

P.S. I just realized I didn't include the New Home treadle in the living room. Help, I need an intervention!

Houston, we have a problem:o) If you don't have the heart to throw them out..buy a big table put each machine in a spot then put a chair at that spot and then send out some flyers to teach a "Beginners Sewing Class"... That ought to work. Ginny
